When buildings were rarely over 5 stories tall, the window cleaner would climb out the window and stand on the ledge, with one hand gripping the frame for balance.
Every project presents its own challenge. On this project, that challenge was to achieve a perfect fit at the corner of the building, where two glass panels met.
With one window restored, that left one to be replaced. Unfortunately, the twin window on the front of the house could not be restored like the one on the rear of the house.
This historic home was built in 1897, and it remained in the hands of the same family until 1995. Since then it has seen only two owners, both of whom have made renovations and restorations that were true to the home's original character.
