ARMORPLAST® (AP-SERIES)

Forced entry and ballistic security protection. Our virtually unbreakable retrofit solutions stop crimes before they happen. Would-be intruders are usually deterred very quickly when the glass does not break. Many ArmorPlast® retrofit solutions do not require removing your existing glass. AP375 is our flagship forced entry product. This virtually invisible glazing shield prevents forced entry by being mounted in front of existing windows and glass doors. This system works like an invisible board-up that is always there, 24/7, protecting your property. In many attacks, the glass remains unbroken, and there is no need for an emergency board-up service. Our AP Series engineered polycarbonates come in two (2) forced-entry grades (AP25, AP375) and five (5) ballistic grades for .38 special and UL752 Level 1, 2, 3, and 6 protection.

J SERIES | SUBFRAMING

Riot Glass® J Series sub-framing is available in ballistic and forced entry grades and designed to provide a smooth, even surface for mounting our secondary glazing systems.
Also referred to as our Compression Framing System, the J Series can be made with our patented compression technology for mounting into historic structures without drilling or other permanent damage to the building’s original materials. It can be removed at a later date with no signs of having been installed. The J Series is custom-made to the dimensions of each individual window opening. Acting as an exoskeleton, the J Series provides a suitable structure to which we can attach our AP and RG Series retrofitted systems.

The J Series meets ASTM F 3038 forced entry testing for 15 minutes. It is only required when existing framing conditions are not conducive to retrofit. Examples may include damaged or uneven existing framing, buildings with historic significance, or other limiting factors. Learn more about our ASTM F 3038 test results here.

The J Series can be manufactured as a standalone product or as a foundation for our ArmorPlast Gen II framing when required to provide a smooth, stable mounting surface.
